How TripPack Works

Near your baggage weight limit? Calculate what packing cubes add to your bag before you buy or pack them.

TripPack is a free travel packing list generator that creates a personalized checklist in seconds. Enter your destination, travel dates, trip type (leisure, business, family, or backpacking), and number of travelers. TripPack checks real-time weather forecasts via Open-Meteo, shows entry-document checks and country suggestions for voltage and plug type, water safety, and health precautions, then generates a prioritized packing list sorted by importance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TripPack free to use?

Yes. TripPack is completely free with no account or sign-up required. Your packing list is saved locally in your browser.

Can I save or share my packing list?

Yes. After generating your list, use the share button to copy a link. Your travel companions can generate a list from the same trip inputs — no app download needed. Checked and custom items are not included; print or save a PDF for an exact copy.

How does TripPack know what to pack?

TripPack uses available weather data, destination suggestions and your trip profile to draft an editable packing list. Entry documents must be checked separately for each traveller’s passport, residence, purpose, stay and transit route; TripPack does not determine visa eligibility. Vaccines and medicines require an individual travel health review; the list is not a medical assessment.

Can I add my own items to the list?

Yes. Each category has an "Add item" field where you can type and add custom items. Your additions are saved automatically and will be there when you return.

How does TripPack compare to other packing tools?

TripPack builds a packing list in your browser without an account. It requests forecast data when available and otherwise uses destination and season data. PackPoint also describes weather-based packing; compare the workflow and limits before choosing. Compare TripPack and PackPoint

Not sure when to go?

Real measured monthly temperatures and rainfall — not estimates.
