TripPack vs PackPoint: choose your packing workflow

Start with how you want to pack. Try TripPack if you want to build a list in a browser without an account. Consider PackPoint if you want a mobile app with activity and laundry options or its advertised TripIt integration. Neither choice removes the need to review your own medicines, documents and activity gear.
This is a workflow comparison, not a head-to-head app performance test. PackPoint details below come from its official website, US iOS Premium listing and Android listing, checked September 10, 2026. We did not install or purchase PackPoint Premium. Prices and availability can differ by region and platform.

Choose TripPack for a browser-first draft
Enter your destination and dates, then review the suggested items against your trip. Add anything missing and check items as you pack. Treat destination notes as reminders to verify, especially for entry documents and medicines; they are not personalized legal or medical advice.
A future departure can fall outside the available forecast. A weather service request can also fail. Read the forecast dates or the weather-unavailable message and check a local forecast again near departure. A forecast is not an observation or a guarantee of your trip's conditions.
Choose PackPoint for its advertised app workflow
Its official descriptions emphasize activity choices, laundry and rewearing basics. Premium may be useful if you need the advertised TripIt integration or custom activities. Before purchasing, confirm those features in your platform's listing and try the free app with a realistic trip. We have not verified PDF export, an ad-free purchase, cross-device synchronization or offline reliability.
Before departure: keep a copy you can use
- Build your TripPack list while connected and check the destination, dates and weather status.
- Review each category. Add a distinctive item you need, such as a camera charger, and check an item you have packed.
- Use Print / Save PDF. Inspect the preview and choose your browser's PDF option if available. Open the saved file with the connection off before depending on it.
- Use Share / Copy Link to send trip inputs for someone else's new list. Send the saved PDF instead when the recipient needs your exact list. Review personal details before sharing.
Browser storage is local to the browser and may be cleared. It is not an account backup or a library of independent saved trips. Generating another list can reset checks and custom items, so save your current list first.

Is TripPack free?
TripPack currently offers its browser packing list without payment or an account. The site includes advertising code. This is not a promise that pricing will never change.
Does PackPoint use weather forecasts?
Yes. PackPoint describes weather-based packing, including an umbrella when rain is forecast. TripPack also requests forecast data, but uses destination and season data when that request fails. We have not tested which service gives better recommendations.
Can I use TripPack offline?
Load and prepare your list while connected. Browser storage can retain some form and checklist data on the same browser, but it does not guarantee that the page will open without a connection. Print or save a PDF before leaving; test that saved copy offline.
Does a TripPack share link include my checked or custom items?
No. The link contains trip inputs such as destination, dates and traveler options. Opening it generates a new list; it does not transfer your checked items or custom additions. Share a saved PDF if you need the exact visible list.
