- Only able to travel in April or December? Neither month makes a trip impossible. Compare the long-term rain pattern, then decide which bookings can move if your particular day is wet. April's average is 15 rain days, not rain every day; December has the highest average rainfall in this reference period.
- Best price: compare the complete flight and hotel cost for your exact dates, with the same baggage, room and cancellation conditions. A monthly weather table cannot identify the cheapest booking.
- Attending or avoiding the Grand Prix: the official 2026 Singapore Grand Prix schedule runs 9–11 October 2026. Check the organiser's current schedule and your accommodation location before paying; do not assume the race is always in September.
For two possible date windows, write down the all-in booking cost, one must-do activity, its cancellation deadline and an indoor alternative. That comparison gives you a reason to choose beyond a generic “best month” ranking.

These are Changi Climate Station averages for 1991–2020, published by the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS). A rain day means at least 0.2 mm during that day. Values describe a station and a reference period, not the weather at every attraction or a forecast for your stay.

Singapore stays warm throughout the year. In this reference period, May has the highest 24-hour mean temperature, while April has the highest mean daily maximum. Those are different measures; neither predicts the hottest day of your trip.
Turn the season into a flexible day plan
MSS describes wetter conditions during November–January and a relatively drier phase around February. During the inter-monsoon periods, afternoon or evening thunderstorms can occur. June–September can also bring squalls before dawn or during the morning. An early start does not guarantee that you avoid rain.
- Before buying timed tickets: put your essential outdoor visit on a day when you can change the order. Check the attraction's own opening hours, closure notices and ticket terms.
- Before leaving your accommodation: read the MSS 24-hour forecast and current rain map. The live forecast is more relevant to today's timing than a climate average.
- If the plan needs to change: use your chosen museum, gallery or other indoor stop, then reassess the next outdoor leg. Check the walking route between buildings; do not assume it is covered throughout.
- If thunderstorms are forecast: use the weather service?s lightning information alongside the attraction's instructions. Do not schedule a return outdoors around an assumed 20-minute shower.
Example planning method: pair a garden visit with an indoor attraction you actually want to see. Keep both booking references and cancellation terms handy. This is an example workflow, not a tested itinerary or a promise about travel time between locations.
Pack for your activities and laundry access
Use lightweight clothing, rain protection that you can carry comfortably, shoes suited to your walks and a light indoor layer if you need it. Choose clothing quantities from your trip length and laundry access rather than assuming a fixed number of shirts for everyone. Protect documents and electronics inside your bag.
